Computer Education

Here are some of the items we will be covering in technology class:

 

  • Introducing basic computer, mobile, keyboard, and Internet skills

  • Help students learn different computer-related skills based on grade level

  • Teach students how to use design applications to develop technological solutions to problems

  • Assigning projects so that students learn to deal with real-world constraints, such as time and materials

  • Allowing students to unravel technological problems using a hands-on, trial-and-error approach

  • Encouraging creative thinking with challenging classroom projects

  • Helping students connect math, science and technological principles to everyday life

  • Conduct lessons in a classroom using Code, Microsoft Office, Digital Citizenship, etc.

  • Work with iPads to create presentations.

Robotics Program

IES is sponsored by the Rural Education Advancement Program (REAP) to provide our students with a hands on approach to learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with an introduction to practical robotics. The program uses the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics (KIPR) curriculum to teach students about robots, programming, and much more. Click the following link to learn more about the program!
